Flocean - deepsea desalination

One of FSubsea`s latest development is Flocean. This is a unique system for more sustainable and economical desalination. The system is ideal for low-footprint additional capacity to existing Seawater Reverse Osmosis facilities or to build greenfield capacity. It can easily be coupled to renewable energy sources.

More than 50 pumps delivered to the deep-seas for applications such as subsea cable trenching, low-emission drilling and subsea processing.

Our core technology includes unique “seal-less” and “top-side-less” functionality, enabled by using state-of-the-art powerful magnetic couplings with embedded variable speed functionality.

The company has a strong team with a culture of supplying environmentally friendly and high-quality subsea pumping systems. We have supplied several deep sea systems to date, and are involved in subsea pump technology projects with large subsea service companies and energy majors.

One of the key projects involves the world’s first seal-less subsea process pump, with integrated permanent magnetic coupling system (Omnirise Mag®).


In Oslo, we have all employees in one location as well as an indoor, 6 meter deep subsea test pit (200 m3), 25 ton gantry crane capacity and a substantial amount of equipment for repairs,upgrades,testing and development of subsea boosting systems.

Aker Solutions and FSubsea have agreed to create a Joint Venture, FASTsubsea to help operators increase oil recovery in a faster, simpler, and more environmentally friendly way.
